Old Westbury Gardens

At first glance, Old Westbury Gardens may seem a little imposing to children. But it’s actually wonderfully family-friendly. Westbury house was very much a home and the 200 acres surrounding it were a playground for the four children who lived in this beautiful place early last century. Modern-day children often treat the grounds as an extension of their own backyard: playing hide-and-seek among the majestic weeping beech trees, hiking the winding trails, attending the many family events, playing in the log cabins, and literally taking time out to smell the flowers.
