Calling All Kids for a creative journey of learning where the first step is fun. Young equestrians (ages 5 and up) are invited to join the Red Pony Camp for its tenth successful season at one of the Hamptons’ most picturesque equestrian facilities. Through hands-on experience with the ponies and pony-related games and activities, campers are taught the necessary basics of horsemanship and riding so that they can safely and effectively take care of their mounts. Grooming contests and pony camp shows allow the campers to demonstrate their abilities to parents and friends. At Thomas School of Horsemanship Summer Day Camp and Riding School, horses have been bringing out the best in children for over 60 years. Each day horses teach children about caring, compassion and empowerment. The Summer Day Camp provides traditional camp activities complemented with a specialized horseback riding program. Each day campers participate in riding lessons as well as horse care lessons. They have Red Cross swim lessons. And they’re coached in a team sports such as soccer, basketball, hockey, lacrosse, volleyball or an individual sport
such as gymnastics, tennis, karate or archery, or arts, such as dance, drama or arts and crafts. Teenagers have the full riding program and participate in a

The Summer Program strives to balance educational activities with unique hands-on experiences. From June 25 to Aug. 3 we welcome boys and girls ages 3 to 11. The day begins at 8:30 am and ends at 3 pm, with optional after-care until 6 pm. Half-day sessions are offered for three, four and five year olds. Activities include athletics, music, tennis, yoga, crafts, story-telling and field trips for our older campers. We offer one of the most flexible schedules on Long Island that’s value priced.
